Ice Arena

Residents of New Hazelton have access to an ice arena that is a mere 5 kilometers from town.  The arena plays host to minor hockey games, figure skating, and a competitive mens ice hockey team.  It is operated by a not for profit society, the Skeena Ice Arena Association, and is funded through user fees and a grant from the Village of Hazelton, the Regional District Kitimat-Stikine, and by the District of New Hazelton.  For more information on the ice arena feel free to call the arena directly at 250-842-6662.

Residents are currently fundraising to build a new arena. Look out for fundraing events and support the arena.

The Skeena Ice Arena Association Building Committe is pleased to announce a web site is now available that provides information and ongoing updates regarding the new arena project. The link to the site is http://www.heartofthehazeltons.ca/.
